Life's an adventure ..

.. come share ours

A warm welcome from the 5 of us.  We’re the Cooper family.

Time waits for no one.  How many times do you reach the end of the week, the month, the year, look back, sigh and think “where did that time go?”.  Like most people that is us.  We don’t have regrets but we recognise missed opportunities to experience something new, dreams not fulfilled, New Year’s resolutions delayed until next year.

Both personal and professional experience has taught us that whilst planning for tomorrow is important it shouldn’t be at the expense of living for today.  As a family we have a passion for getting out and experiencing new things, seeing new places, embracing new experiences, be that at home, in our local area or in a different part of the world.  We’ve only got one life, so let’s live it.

We’re on a journey, why not join us for the ride ….

Simple Sewing Projects for Beginners

I have always had an interest in creating things and in sewing, even from a young age when I would hand stitch felt Christmas decorations (something I still do now, although the quality has improved somewhat!)  I moved on to making larger projects such as baby quilts...

A tourists guide to Australian wildlife – Part 2 birds

Best swimming holes between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast

One of our primary reasons for moving from the UK to Australia was for the climate (ironically, so that we could avoid constantly getting wet!).  That said, when Queensland really pumps up the thermostat, we love nothing more than to seek some relief by taking a dip. ...

Creative Things to do with Kids

Creative Things to do with Kids

As parents, we’ve all been there; it’s about 1 hour into the school holidays that the kids have been desperately waiting for, the lego sets have lost their appeal, the toys you fought tooth and nail to acquire them last Christmas or birthday have been discarded on the...

A tourists guide to Australian wildlife – Part 1 Mammals

Australia is home to a wealth of wildlife, much of which is unique to this diverse continent and ranges from the cute and cuddly to the downright bizarre.  Home to 21 of the 25 most venomous snakes in the world, spiders that would sooner kill you than look at you,...

Best family things to do on Bribie Island

Best family things to do on Bribie Island

There’s something just simply relaxing about Bribie Island.  As you drive over the bridge connecting the island to the mainland, glance left up Pumicestone Passage, a 35 kilometre estuary which is a haven for bird and marine life, you see the mesmerising Glasshouse...
